PROMOTING BUSINESSES WITHIN THE WRHA
This page represents what we hope will be a possiblity for the WHRA to promote local businesses, many of which are owned and operated by one or two people. It may surprise you that there are almost 50 along Lakeshore alone.
Some ideas:
At the moment we are considering that each business will have one page of text-only information provided for free. This information could include hours of operation, phone/fax numbers, descriptions of what they do, etc..... The file size would be only a few kilobytes.
Each business would be responsible for providing the content.
Each business will be treated equally no matter its size.

Businesses wishing to have custom graphics included in their page will be charged a nominal fee of, say, $12 per year to cover the site's additional cost (charge rates are typically $1/Mbyte/year). Again, the business is responsible for the providing the content.
The benefits of graphics-oriented sites:
A small graphic advertisement will appear in the lefthand column of Meetings and Events and the "hot" pages.
This graphic will be randomized.
There would be some restrictions to all businesses:
The information will be permanent - no specials, seasonal sales, etc...
The space will be limited to the size of this page.
